A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it’s incredibly intuitive, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the respective email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be activated easily if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a mini logo handily situated right next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the context menu that will surface. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
